THE PAW CATALOG
Origin: France
The breed was formed from ancient Saintong hounds and foxhounds, and was called the "Anglo-Sentong bastard." In 1957, the names of Anglo-French breeds were officially fixed. Nowadays in France it is a working pack breed for hunting roe deer, wild boar and fox. "Large" refers to the type of game, not the size of the dog.
Large Anglo-French Black and White Hound - a tall French Hound with a black "mantle" on a white background. Friendly to people and easy to manage in the kennel. This is primarily a working pack hunter.

This is not an apartment dog: for a happy life, space, a lot of movement and the company of relatives are needed. Lives peacefully in a pack in the kennel, but needs daily exercise and attention at home.
Long-term loads are needed every day: long running, olfactory work, space. Free running is possible only in a safe fenced area. The load of puppies and elderly dogs is adjusted with the veterinarian.
Friendly and willing to work, but independent on the trail. Olfactory games, patience and treats work. Calling is practiced on a long leash, and free running is possible only in a fenced area.
The short double coat is combed approximately once a week, more often during shedding. After hunting, they examine the skin, paws, long ears, trim the claws and brush the teeth.
Friendly to people and easy to control, but large and energetic. An adult monitors the contact, and the rules of a calm game are explained to the child.
His gregarious past makes him usually peaceful with dogs. Small animals and cats are evaluated separately, because the hunting instinct is strong.
Estimates help compare breeds. For zooaggression, 5/5 means less tendency to aggression towards dogs. The behavior and health of a particular dog depend on many factors.
