Origin: France
French pack hunting hound. Descended from the large blue Gascon hound: its smaller representatives, bred for small game such as hare, later formed a separate breed. Their ancestors lived in the times of Saint Hubert's hounds, who hunted in packs in the 14th century. The word "small" refers to the size of the game, not the dog.
Small Blue Gascon Hound is a French Hound of medium-large height (50-58 cm) with a short thick coat of white color with black spots, which gives it a grayish-blue shade. Calm and manageable in the pack. Requires a lot of movement and olfactory work.

Working hunting dog, gregarious by habit. It is not suitable for life in the city without hunting and movement.
Long walks, running in a safe area and sniffing are required.
Works well in a pack, calm and controlled, but sense of smell quickly overcomes teams. It takes patient consistency.
The short coat is wiped and combed once a week. Ears are examined, nails are trimmed, teeth are cleaned.
Calm and controlled, but energetic hunter. Games with children are supervised.
Gets along with dogs in a pack. Small animals are prey.
