The paW site and application
Privacy Policy
We explain what data The paW needs, how it is used and to whom it becomes available. Privacy contact: thepawua@gmail.com.
Updated on October 21, 2026
1. Who is responsible for the data
The paW is a website and mobile app for dog owners. With questions about data, correction or deletion of the account, write to thepawua@gmail.com.
2. What data we process
- Account: email address, profile name, language and region settings. The password is checked by Firebase Authentication; The paW does not store it in its own database.
- Dog data you add: name, breed, age or date of birth, sex, photo, weight, grooming records, walks, feedings, water, training, health, reminders, documents, achievements and notes. You decide which optional fields to fill in.
- Dog Clicker: selected clicker sound and appearance, volume, total number of clicks, and selected dog ID. Without logging in, this data remains on the phone. After logging in with the same The paW account, the application receives a list of dogs available to you and synchronizes the counter of the selected dog.
- Sharing: addresses and technical account IDs required to request communication and access related people to shared dogs.
- Analytics and diagnostics: approximate location derived from IP address, app interactions, app instance identifier, device identifiers or advertising identifier, and error and crash information via Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. This data is needed for statistics, stability and feature improvement; we do not use them to serve ads.
- Message: device token for push notifications.
- Subscription: Google Play tells the app about the purchase status, product ID, purchase token, and access right. Payment details are processed by Google Play; The paW does not receive a bank card number.
- Reviews and appeals: the name, rating and text you submit on the site form; in correspondence - the mail address and the content of the message. A short-term technical counter is used to protect the form from excessive requests.
3. Device permissions
Geolocation is requested when you choose to search for nearby clinics or grooming; it can be omitted and the city can be selected manually. The camera is only needed for the photo of your choice. Notifications permission is required for reminders and shared action notifications. Permissions can be changed in the phone settings.
4. Why data is needed
To create an account, sync dog profiles between the site and devices, show records and reminders, grant access to related people, check eligibility for premium features, maintain directories and process requests. Dog Clicker requires synchronization so that clicks from different phones and linked accounts are added to the total score of the selected dog and count towards its scores. Aggregated analytics and crash data help you understand feature usage and find and fix bugs. Reviews are published only after verification; the name and text of the approved review are visible to site visitors.
5. To whom the data is available
Google Firebase infrastructure is used for login, data storage, files, notifications, analytics and diagnostics. Subscription and payment are handled by Google Play. These providers act as service partners for the operation of the application. Shared dog data can be viewed and modified by the owner and its associated accounts. If you've connected a personal Google Drive folder yourself, selected older photos and documents are stored in your Drive; access to this folder is defined by you. Links to Facebook, Instagram and YouTube open the corresponding third-party services only after you click them.
We do not sell user data or use it for ad targeting.
6. Storage and protection
The profile and records are saved as long as the account is active or until you delete the relevant data. Daily walk, feed and water logs are processed in separate 30-day periods with the option to export before cleaning. Weight, medical records, and workouts are excluded from this automatic cleanup.
Dog Clicker saves a local counter and settings on the phone. Each device keeps a separate counter for the selected dog; after every 25 new clicks, the full package is synced with Firebase. The server keeps up-to-date device counters, so taps from related people don't replace each other. Clicks that have not yet been synced may be lost after clearing data or removing Dog Clicker.
Backups are created to recover from technical failures. The history of changes is cleared in 30 days; the current backup base may last longer until a proven replacement. Access to backup files is closed to regular users. When requesting deletion, we separately check the data related to you in the backup copies.
Access to profiles and files is restricted by Firebase policies for the owner and associated accounts. Data transfer takes place over a secure connection.
7. Your Choice and Removal
You can correct or delete individual entries in the application or on the site, do not grant optional permissions and unlink accounts. To request the deletion of selected data without deleting the account or the entire account, use open delete page or write to thepawua@gmail.com from the address to which the account is registered. If the dog you create is available to other related people, ownership of the dog may be transferred to one of them, and your personal data and access will be removed.
Deleting The paW account does not automatically cancel your active Google Play subscription. You can cancel it on The paW Plus screen in the application or in the Google Play subscriptions section.
8. Policy Changes
When features or data processing change, we will update this text and date at the top of the page. Write to with questions thepawua@gmail.com.
